Mould spores are present in every property. On wet materials, they germinate and begin growing within 24 to 48 hours. Commercial water damage that is not professionally dried quickly almost always results in mould remediation costs on top of the original water damage. Kiwi Safeas includes mould prevention treatment as a standard part of every commercial water restoration scope.
Concrete slabs, timber framing, plasterboard, and insulation continue absorbing moisture after the visible water is removed. Without thermal imaging and moisture meters, affected areas are missed. Structural drying that is incomplete leaves ongoing moisture problems that cost significantly more to address later.
Every day a commercial property cannot operate costs money. Effective commercial flood restoration minimises the period of interruption. We provide clear timelines, transparent progress reporting, and work outside business hours where required.
Commercial property insurance requires prompt, professional remediation and documented evidence of water damage and restoration work completed. Our documentation meets the requirements of major New Zealand insurance companies from day one.
We use thermal imaging cameras and calibrated moisture meters to identify all affected areas, including hidden moisture behind walls, under flooring, and above ceiling linings. Standard visual inspection misses this. You receive a full moisture map and a written fixed-price quote before any work begins. If site assessment is required before the job is confirmed, this is charged at $300 + GST.
Commercial fire damage restoration begins with soot and smoke removal. Our IICRC-certified technicians use approved dry and wet cleaning methods to remove soot from all affected surfaces: walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, and structural elements. HVAC systems are assessed and cleaned where required. Cleanup pricing: $300 excl. GST for the first half-hour once the job is confirmed. After that: $120 + GST per hour per IICRC Certified Technician.
We deploy industrial dehumidifiers and air blowers to dry the commercial structure. Equipment positions are determined by moisture readings to dry systematically. Equipment hire: 1x dehumidifier + 1x air blower = $125 + GST per night. 2x dehumidifiers + 2x air blowers = $225 + GST per night. Delivery and pickup: $90 per visit.
We monitor moisture levels throughout the drying process and provide progress updates. Equipment is adjusted as moisture readings change. Drying logs are maintained throughout for the insurance documentation package.
Antifungal treatment is applied to at-risk areas as part of every commercial water restoration scope. This prevents secondary mould growth during and after the drying process.
Full documentation issued: moisture map, drying logs, water extraction records, scope of works, and completion certificate. All formatted for commercial property insurance claims.
Burst pipes are the most common cause of commercial water damage in Auckland and Hamilton. We extract water and begin structural drying immediately to prevent secondary damage.
Flooding from external sources, including storm surge and blocked drainage, introduces contaminated category 3 water into commercial properties. Our commercial flood restoration process includes extraction, sanitising, drying, and documentation to IICRC category 3 standards.
Roof leaks allow water to penetrate ceiling cavities, insulation, and walls. Thermal imaging identifies the full extent of moisture infiltration. Structural drying prevents the mould and structural damage that follows.
Commercial kitchen and facility appliance failures cause concentrated water damage to flooring and subfloor structures. We extract water, dry the structure, and document the scope for insurance claims.
Water from fire suppression causes significant secondary damage if not dried immediately. We address suppression water damage as part of our commercial fire and water restoration scope.
A clear, structured process so you know exactly what happens — and when.
