Process and Pricing

Do you always provide a fixed-price quote?

Yes. All our services have fixed minimum charges and set hourly rates. You always know the cost upfront. Meth decontamination is quoted individually based on your testing report. For all other services, we require site details or photos first, then provide a written fixed-price quote.

For meth decontamination, independent pre-assessment testing is carried out first by an IANZ-accredited testing company. You then send us the report. We prepare a fixed-price quote and scope of work. Once approved, work starts within 2 working days. After decontamination, the independent testing company carries out post-decontamination testing. You send us the results and we issue the clearance certificate.

Yes. We understand that decontamination work is sensitive. Jobs can be carried out in unmarked vehicles on request to protect your privacy and that of your tenants.

Clearance testing is always conducted by an independent IANZ-accredited laboratory. Not by Kiwi Safeas. This is a requirement under the new 2026 regulations and protects your interests by ensuring an unbiased result.

What NZ regulations govern property decontamination?

Records must be retained for at least 12 months after tenancy end. Non-compliance is an unlawful act under the Residential Tenancies Act.
